We stepped off on the left foot today, by me taking the boys to the Children's Museum again with my mom. Dan had to work, and Pierce told me that since Ga did not have to work today, he needed his Ga time. One quick phone call later, and we had a plan. The boys were so excited to show her everything, and Pierce made sure that he told her that if you see a bobcat in your yard, do not try to pet it. It will bite you. It took everything in our power to not hysterically laugh, since he was dead serious. On the flip side, I am glad to see that he does listen to me.
We have also decided that Carter is the snake charmer. It happened last time we were there as well; Pierce would step up to the snake cages, and nothing would happen. Carter stepped up and all of a sudden the snakes were awake and moving. And he has quite a fascination with them. Carter is also in love with the bunnies. Every time we walked into the animal sanctuary part, he would squeal with delight while yelling "Bunny!" and run to the enclosure. I am looking forward to seeing how much they grow and learn this year by visiting the museum.
We also had dinner with Nana tonight. I love spending time with Nana, and the boys certainly love their dinners with her. Pierce was telling everyone what he and Carter did today, and he also announced at the table that if you see a bobcat in your yard, do not try to pet it. It will bite you. All of us thanked him for that bit of information, and we stifled a couple of chuckles. He was also the official salad giver tonight; he would not let go of the tongs. He loved them. It also meant he ate way more salad than usual. That is a fantastic thing. :)
Daddy now has the boys, and I am going to try to catch a bit of extra sleep. Between Pierce ending up in our bed every night, Dan's snoring, and Carter waking up at 5 am to cuddle, my quality of sleep is next to nothing. I hope everyone had a great first day of the new year, and I will try to do a much better job of keeping up on this, now that I have a working laptop again. Good night!
