Today we journeyed to Lyman Orchards to pick our own peaches. It is hard to remember that the last time we went picking, Carter dude was only 5 days old. Well we learned that Lyman orchards is a lot bigger than we thought. And oh man do they not only have very reasonable prices, but their fruit is very tasty.
Carter was content sitting under the peach trees double fisting peaches that Pierce kept picking for him. And after every peach Carter ate, he would exclaim," I did it!". It was so incredibly cute!!!!! And Pierce was just so happy helping Ga pick peaches way up high in the trees. And of course eating them too! I mean that is the best part!
After peach picking and nap time, I discovered that the best bubble bath ever for the kids is the Palmolive lavender scented dish soap. We have an issue in our baths where the boys lose their bubbles due to being in their so long and playing so tough. Well tonight they were in the bath for 40 minutes, and there were STILL bubbles everywhere! They had a blast with the stronger bubbles. It has served as my motivation to make a bubble mixture with them this week. I think they will enjoy it. :)
The last thing they did today was play dinosaur with Dan. Dan was the "ticklesaurus" and was chasing them through the house catching them and tickling them. It was such a great time! And it was awesome to just hear the pure delight in their voices.
So lesson learned for today: not everything needs to be extravagant to be fun. And you don't need to do twenty million things in one day. Seize the opportunity and go with it, and make it the best time you can. In the end it is all about the laughs and smiles. Nothing else should matter.
