A day of nature.

Today was a really fun day filled with just being outdoors and with family. The only exceptions to that were our quick run to BJ's and nap time.

For some reason my body felt the need to wake me up at 530, so I was actually up before the kids. So, once they rolled out of bed, I fed them, packed them u, and went to BJ'S to play "find the zamboni". Now that was obviously not my intention, but the guy cleaning the floor on the zamboni had a really goo personality, and every time we saw it, he would wave to my very happy children. So the rest of the time we were there, Pierce kept trying to find it. Lol. It was hysterical. And it was even cuter to see both boys sitting together in the race car cart, and watch Pierce cuddling on Carter.

Pierce fell asleep on the way home, and of course Carter did not. However we had a really nice surprise of Lisa being here when we got home. We hung out with Mr. Carter, and once Pierce woke up we went to Family Nature Day at White Memorial. There were people with bugs there, goats, bubble pools, horse drawn carriages, Native American bands, sand art, face painting, and a very large python. And, for the sake of my two children that were enthralled with this snake, I touched it. And I held it. Now this thing was a lot heavier than I imagined. And a lot stronger. Pierce had the tail end, and Carter kept trying to rip the skin off of it. While at the time I thought it was disgusting, now I kind of think that it was cool, not cute. But I am not going to make it a habit, that is for sure.

From there we said bye to Lisa, and then came home to finally see Daddy. The poor guy has been working a ton. We had dinner, and then headed out to the Mum Festival in Bristol to see them put up the hot air balloons, and see how they glowed at night. I never realized the sheer amount of man power it took. And it is such an amazing sight to see them lit up in the dark. Carter and Pierce enjoyed just running, and running, and running. Danny was chasing them, and I relaxed a little bit when they were not running in opposite directions.

And just as it started sprinkling, we decided to leave. And then Pierce decided he had to pee...in the Porto potty. He had not shown any interest all day, but he had to use the nasty Porto potty. So Daddy helped him with that, and THEN we were able to go home.

It was straight to bed for Pierce, and it took a lot of convincing for Carter to sleep. Now it is our turn to maybe catch up on some zzz's that we are sorely lacking. Maybe heading to a pumpkin festival in Seymour tomorrow, not sure. But whatever you have in store, have a great day!
