Started out a bit rough...

This morning was a bit of a rough start. Both boys woke up at 630, which is an hour or so before they usually wake up. Both boys were fed scrambled eggs (the easiest go to in our house), and then Carter took off to his play room to play by himself. I kept checking on him, but he was literally taking apart every toy he could, and then putting it back together. He did this for a good 45 minutes straight.

At the same time, Pierce was introduced to the world of stamping. I had found him a cheap stamp set at the store yesterday, so I figured this morning would be a good time to show him how to do it. Here is what I learned from this.
1. He loves it.
2. The so called washable ink and washable markers are not washable.
3. It is fun to make thumb prints - and stick them all over the white sliding glass door when mommy is not looking.
This will not stop us from doing it again. He loved the cause and effect of the stamp pad, and it kept him very busy while I caught up on some chores. Love it.

Then we moved on to building one of the new train sets. And that thing is wicked cool! It is the train and travel set from Brio, and it is actually a very high quality.  However, it did throw Pierce for a loop since it was an European style train. But he very quickly got over it, and played with his train set over and over and over. He had a hard time sharing with Carter but I distracted Pierce enough by having him help me make the awesome pumpkin cookies again.  This time Carter also decided to help too!   :)

From there we did Alphabits Time at the Thomaston Library. Today we learned about the letter B, and different things that start with B, like blue bananas. Pierce was certainly overwhelmed with the sheer amount of other kids in the room. But by the end of it, he was okay. Not super excited, but okay with the situation, and at least he was out of my lap. Carter, however, loved it and wanted to be in the center of the circle. Go figure. It is amazing how opposite brothers can be.

I am determined to finish losing the baby weight I have left over from Pierce ( I already lost the weight from Carter). With that in mind, we all took a walk after story time. We walked up to Dunkin (I wanted to walk the hill), and from there we went back down to the trains. They were not supposed to be in operation today, and when we first got there, all that was there were the ones that are on display. But what did we hear coming around the bend? The "Ding! Ding! Ding!" of a train. The boys were SO excited to see a real moving train. We were able to watch them pull the passenger cars, and then switch the tracks so that the engine was pushing the cars. I thought for sure we were going to be asked to leave since the museum was not open to the public, but they actually waved and blew the horn for us. Pierce and Carter were so entranced, they loved it.

Neither kiddo took a long nap. Carter started falling asleep in the stroller, but then when I moved him to the car, he was wide awake and alert. Pierce fell asleep, but only took a total of a 45 minute nap. And as soon as he woke up, he wanted the trains again. Oh my little men. From there we went to Dylan's soccer game, and then we came home. Both boys could have cared less about soccer. They were happy playing with Nana, Auntie Nancy, and David, and that is all they wanted. It was rather adorable. And of course they loved the can of Pepsi that Nana have them. :/

Currently Pierce and I are watching Caillou, and Carter is in bed. We have a busy day planned tomorrow with White Memorial having family nature day, and the mums festival in Bristol. I am so looking forward to the boys seeing hot air balloons at night. :). Good night everyone! Somebody is blowing raspberries on my belly. :)
The boys playing in the train yard.
The new train set that they both LOVE.
Cookie time!
The train is MOVING!
Yum.  Soda.
Carter helping with the cookies, and Pierce making it snow.
Aww.  Brotherly love.
Playing baseball with a sword and apple.  Very much a good idea.
Carter's definition of licking a beater.  Use a measuring spoon to wipe it off of the beater, and then eat off of the spoon.
