What a beautiful couple of days...

How to tell I had to go to work the past few days? I haven't posted anything. I honestly have no idea how full time working moms juggle everything. I need to take a moment and applaud all of you, because I do not think I could do it. And to my mom, I have no idea how you an dad did this, so thank you. This also means I really haven't seen my husband in a few days, so I am going to do a quick update before I go upstairs.

Pierce had school yesterday, and he is finally realizing that even if he kicks, screams, and has a fit, he is going to school. He apparently cried for a whopping 30 seconds, and then was fine. He instructed me, when I picked him up, that r was not going home to nap with me, but he was going to stay and nap with his friends. It's amazing how quickly mom is replaced. Lol. And since he was VERY unhappy about not going to school this morning, maybe he is finally ready to go more often. We shall play it by ear.

With ga being $4.07 per gallon here, I decided that Carter and I were not driving home, to drive back down for story time, and that we were going to take a nice walk at Thomaston Dam. I hadn't been there in a while, and it was a perfect fall day to see some foliage. So we walked from the entrance, and started taking the path towards the dirt bikers, when we hear a crunching in the leaves. I assumed it was a deer, looked over, and it was a MOOSE. My heart lurched into my throat and I paused to see what this giant, yet stunning, creature was going to do. He decided that food was more important. I started treating him like a bear, and I wanted to get my phone to a. Call 911 if this thing comes after me and my 13 month old strapped to my body, and b. take a picture because nobody is going to believe me. The more I moved, the more I realized he was a VERY docile creature. Two ladies came running up behind me, and I tarted hollering to stop, and that is finally when he sauntered away. I was able to eat a few pictures first. And then Carter and I ran into him again. Carter's reaction to the whole thing? Shake a finger at him and moo. Lol. It was awesome! And I have to say they are pretty amazing creatures. I mean absolutely amazing. I did see a ranger on the way out, and it turns put that Mr Moose has been relocate a couple I times, and because of his proximity to the highway, and his presence in a populated area, he would need to be euthanized before he was harmed, or we were harmed. That does make me sad. I mean wildlife was here first, they should have the right of the land.

Carter and I went to story time afterwards, where he was absolutely off the wall crazy. Not in a bad way, but extremely social, and acting like he hasn't seen anyone else in this world in years. Lol. It was quite cute, actually. From story time we went and grabbed the Pierce monster, who reminded me at the door, that I had said he could watch Yo Gabba Gabba when he got home. So what did we do next? We watched Gabba Gabba. Sometimes I wonder why I torment myself.

Then it was nap time for Pierce, after an hour of protesting, and time to wake up do Carter. Carter and I hung out outside until Pierce woke up. Then Pierce made a farm out of some stickers and a cut out, and had lots of fun. Some more outdoor time, and then this momma went to work.

Today we did our own book time to learn about squares. That is our shape of the week, and went spent time looking for square things in the house. After reading about squares, Pierce was still quite inquisitive, and Carter just wanted to play by himself. That left Pierce and I to make bouncy balls, and see how things react with one another. It was very easy, but there is not a lot of bounce to them. I let Carter have the first one we made, and he had fun pulling it apart and shredding it all over the kitchen. That kind I stuff is going to happen, and that is why we have a steam mop.

We then went from bouncy balls to just mix everything together, to making gal, an then more story time, but this time in Litchfield. Both boys had a blast, and were very interactive. I even had fun too. Upon arriving home,Carter was asleep, and pierce wanted his bouncy ball. I have it to him, but explained that he could not put it near his mouth. So he looked at me, laughed, and then put it in his mouth. I took it away, and we had the epic tantrum to follow. I let it go for about 30 minutes, trying to huh him, redirect him, soothe him, before I finally yelled at him and demanded he go to bed. I feel horrible for yelling at him, but at this point he also woke Carter up-and Carter sleeps through everything.

Pierce finally went to sleep, an Carter and I hung out. Carter has realized that his walker is not such an evil thing, and that he can zoom through the house with it. He does not like anyone putting him in it, he has to climb in himself. We then made a gazillion pilgrim pies for our play date scheduled for tomorrow. :).

Once Pierce woke up, it was lunch time, and then time for me to go back to work. That now leaves me home from work, sitting in the basement, because I can hear Dan trying to get pierce in bed. That is something I do not want to interrupt. Tomorrow is out play date, and of course our time to walk with the group. Until then, I hope everyone has a good nights sleep. :)
